Energy Supply - Key findings

Total energy supply represents the quantity of energy necessary to satisfy domestic energy demands. It is made up of energy extracted from natural resources within the country (energy production) and imported energy, less exports and international bunkers after adjusting for stock changes.
The total energy supply in the country reached about 12,038 ktoe in 2020 as against 6,255 ktoe in 2000. The increase is mainly due to commercial production of oil and gas from the three oil fields discovered in the country since 2007 namely namely Jubilee; Tweneboah, Enyenra & Ntomme (TEN); and Sankofa-Gye Nyame (SGN).
